a specialized unit in the police department. the results will be out within one hour. dan miller, wbal-tv 11 news. -- jayne miller. >> they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound last night. someone pulled up next to them and shot them. the unidentified man was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. they do not believe the shooting was random. the other shooting was on quantico ave. they found an adult male had been shot. the victim has been identified. he was taken to the hospital where he later died. police are calling his death a homicide. no word on a suspect or motive. anyone with information is asked to call homicide detectives. police are investigating the adduction the two women from bus stops. once she was sexually assaulted and the other say she was forced to perform a sex act. we're live in towns and with more on that story. >> baltimore county police arrested two men in those bus stop productions. both of them had charges pending. his 17-year-old girl was abducted yesterday in the west view area around 12:40 monday afternoon. just after she got off the transit bus

-threatening issues -- injuries. fire officials say there is no evidence to support arson. wbal-tv 11 news. >> meanwhile, three more city firefighters are recovering from injuries they sustained from this fire. this is what the home looks like now in southeast baltimore. we're told all the firefighters are in stable condition, dealing with burns to hands and faces. the fire broke out in the basement of the home. no word on what started the fire. >> and an investigation into a fire in edgewood. is broke out along the 200 block of canard avenue. crews were able to rescue the one person inside that building. no word on their condition tonight. investigators are searching for a cause and an origin. meanwhile, investigators do know the cause of the fire that raged through this church in potomac heights. someone poured accelerants and lit it. by the time firefighters arrived, the flames had burned themselves out. investigators are searching for clues and the arsonists behind it. >> clarence mitchell ii has died. we have more on his life and legacy. >> clarence mitchell iii died early this mornin

, wbal-tv 11 news. >> testimony continued today for the two police officers accused of abusing their power when they saw that a college student two years ago. that student attended the university of maryland at college park. barry simms was in the courtroom today and he has the latest for us. >> a police expert testified that this was excessive force. the victim, john mckenna, was struck at least a dozen times. charged with assault and misconduct in office, prosecutors and the defense are focusing on the actions of son and james harri and officer reginald baker. they were on mounted patrol and dressed in riot gear. a key piece of evidence in the case is video shop showing the celebration and crowd in the park. the video also shows the beating of john mckenna it was a 21- year-old college junior. the experts concluded the toicer used his right she'll push mckeown into a wall, but the repeated beatings with a baton was excessive force. he was struck a minimum of 12 times within 4-7 seconds. jurors also heard from an internal affairs investigators to testify that officer harrison

. it looks like we fare much better than so many others during this particular storm. lisa robinson, wbal-tv 11 news. let's go to jayne miller down at the inner harbor to see how things are down there. >> surly sandy left her mark in baltimore. trees came down, people lost power and there were some scattered outages throughout the northern part of the city. there was just minor flooding. one of the most notable areas is the inner harbor. the water does not normally go up that far, but it has been pushed up there all day. the product of about 6.5 inches of rain, obviously, and the southerly flow of wind is pushing the water in order. the good news is that the water has started to recede. statewide, maryland, baltimore really dodged it. throughout the city of baltimore, the story about sandy was this same period destruction, yes, devastation, no. residents here say sandy was no isabel. >> people work kayaking in the street for isabel. >> the city got more than 6 inches of rain through this morning, but people here are not strangers to taking precautions, so problems were few. >> it looks li
